What the work covers
- Original material worth citing: a survey, a data set, a calculator, a guide nobody else has written
- Expert comment for journalists and trade editors when your field is in the news
- Regional business press and trade publications in your sector
- Directory and profile listings that matter in your trade, kept accurate and consistent
- Mentions of your business that do not link to you, found and followed up
- Broken links pointing at your site, recovered
What Peacock Search will not do
No bought links, no private blog networks, no paid placements dressed up as coverage and no promise of a set number of links each month. Those tactics can work for a while, and then they become a liability: Google’s spam policies name them, and a penalty takes far longer to undo than the links took to buy. If you are looking for link building services, the honest version is this one. Links come from coverage that was earned, and each one is logged so you can check where it came from.
Peacock Search will not promise coverage in a named publication either, or that AI assistants will start to name you. Editors and assistants choose their own sources.
Authority for AI search
AI assistants decide which businesses to name partly from what other sites say about them. A business mentioned in the trade press, listed accurately in the right directories and discussed on the forums its buyers read is easier to cite than one that only describes itself. Digital PR now does two jobs at once: it builds the links that help pages rank, and the mentions that help AI search visibility.
How it is reported
Every mention is logged with its source, the page it appears on, whether it links to you and whether that link passes authority. The monthly report shows what the authority is built from, not a single score from a tool. Third-party authority figures, where they appear, are labelled with their source and the date they were pulled.
Who it is for
Digital PR suits a business whose pages are good enough to rank but sit behind competitors with more authority. It suits businesses with real expertise to share and a story the trade press would recognise. It is usually the third step, after the site works and the pages deserve to rank, not the first. For local businesses the same idea works on a smaller scale: a mention in the local paper, a listing with your trade body, a supplier’s page that names you as a stockist.
It also suits B2B firms, such as manufacturers and software businesses, whose buyers read the trade press in their sector.
Digital PR from Peacock Search is run from Leeds for businesses in Leeds, York, Harrogate and Sheffield.
